What can I say... The ***** Barca team needed Lehmann out to score a foquin goal. If I am wrong then tell me how 2 goals were scored in 5 minutes when Lehmann wasn't in net? That wouldn't have happened with Lehmann, sorry folks better enjoy your dreams now 'cause it won't happen again.

Buenos suerte!

Funny picture, hope you enjoy the UEFA Cup next year as much as you are enjoying this loss.

Must be nice to clamor back and forth about UEFA Cup and Champions League competitions.

Especially since Crystal Palace is stuck in the Championship for at least another year.

God damn, what the hell? How many people have been kicked out of a Champion's League final? The answer, 1. Jens Lehmann. Horse shit, absolute horse shit.

Seriously bro. The first person to get thrown out in the Champs league cup final in history... and their goalie at that. Dunno about you, but I like winning fair. I guess if you put money on Barca then it is cool and I understand... but if one is speaking from a fan's perspective it is sad.

I got Barca -10000 to beat the special olympics soccer team next year.. since they can beat a 10 man team.:103631605

What are you guys talking about? The two of you just throw out the most random non-sensical comments. I am an Arsenal fan and that call is as black and white as there is in soccer. If the last guy takes down a dribbler, red card, end of story.

That was a great game, tough way to play and lose, but there was nothing "unfair" about that game.

I missed the part where I said, "The call as unfair"? :icon_conf:icon_conf:icon_confI think I am the one who said, Barca fans shouldn't be proud of that win. All rules and betting aside I wanted to see a "fair" game (no pun intended) where in which both teams had all their best players playing so we can truly see who is "The best". That wasn't the case.

You said you would want to win "fair", implying something was "unfair" about the game. What, exactly, was unfair? There is nothing "unfair" about a proper send off, that is part of the game and happens all the time.

Read the parenthesis my friend... "No pun intended". Their are many forms of the word "fair'. You seem to only know the adverb form of it.

fair1 ( P ) Pronunciation Key (fâr)
adj. fair·er, fair·est
  1. Of pleasing appearance, especially because of a pure or fresh quality; comely.
    1. Light in color, especially blond: fair hair.
    2. Of light complexion: fair skin.
  2. Free of clouds or storms; clear and sunny: fair skies.
  3. Free of blemishes or stains; clean and pure: one's fair name.
  4. Promising; likely: We're in a fair way to succeed.
    1. Having or exhibiting a disposition that is free of favoritism or bias; impartial: a fair mediator.
    2. Just to all parties; equitable: a compromise that is fair to both factions.
  5. Being in accordance with relative merit or significance: She wanted to receive her fair share of the proceeds.
  6. Consistent with rules, logic, or ethics: a fair tactic.
  7. Moderately good; acceptable or satisfactory: gave only a fair performance of the play; in fair health.
  8. Superficially true or appealing; specious: Don't trust his fair promises.
  9. Lawful to hunt or attack: fair game.
  10. Archaic. Free of all obstacles.

adv.

1. In a proper or legal manner: playing fair.
2. Directly; straight: a blow caught fair in the stomach.

That would be all well and good if you used it as an adjective in your initial post.

Indeed, I wanted to see a game of "pleasing appearance" not a game with.... who was the Arsenal back-up goalie again? So in conclusion, I wanted to see if Eto'o, Guily, or Ronaldinho could really score on Lehmann and his defense. But instead, I had to settle for a skewed match- not my fault, not anyone's fault, but I still wanted to see it. And FHMESQ44, you're not an Arsenal fan because no one bashes their own team. True fans deny, deny, deny loses. Or at least that's how 99.99999999999% of fans think.

hmmm... call me illiterate I suppose.

I said, "think I am the one who said, Barca fans shouldn't be proud of that win. All rules and betting aside I wanted to see a "fair" game (no pun intended) where in which both teams had all their best players playing so we can truly see who is "The best"."

In the context it was written, "Moderately good; acceptable or satisfactory: gave only a fair performance of the play; in fair health."

Don't know where all the confusion is, maybe I should say it in Spanish?

Dios mio! ...por que la gente no me intiende en Espanol, y tambien en Ingles? Diay?:icon_conf

Nice revisionist history there.

Use as an adverb, not in the "dunno about you, but I like winning in a pleasantly appearing manner"

We all like to see fair, as in pleasing, soccer games and I would contend that last night's match was pleasing in appearance notwithstanding the 11-10. Perfect, obviously not, but it was a damn good game regardless.

As for not being an Arsenal fan, WHATEVER. Maybe you don't know of any fans that can look at things in an objective manner, but they do exist. Does it suck, sure, do I think Eto'o was offside, yes. Now am I a "real" fan?
